CONSTRUCTION & UPGRADE & AL RAYYAN ROAD PROJECT 7 CONTRACT 1
The Project comprises the construction and upgrade of the section of Rayyan Road from east of the Bani Hajer Roundabout at the western extent of the scheme, to west of the New Rayyan Roundabout at the east end of the scheme, together with the construction and upgrading of associated side roads and service roads. The total length of the improvement scheme is approximately 2.9km plus 2km of side roads, associated service roads (approximately 5.8km), minor junctions and structures.
The project has a varying vertical alignment with four traffic lanes in each direction (plus turning lanes at junctions) with a dividing median along Rayyan Road. The Project included a total of three interchanges. The project includes earthworks, kerbs, footways and paved areas, flexible pavements, pedestrian bridges & underpass, RC vehicle structures, SWD, hard and soft landscaping, provision for future public and private utility services, and diversion and protection of existing utilities (eg. water, sewer, TSE, EHV, HV, MV, LV, Qtel, QAF & MOI-SSD).
